I am so happy I had the opportunity to take the Functional Language Planning class. I became an English Language Deveolpment teacher 4 years ago. I have had training through my county, but this class really showed me how to come into the lesson as a language teacher and not as another classroom teacher. It has taught me ways of focusing on my students working on their language skills. It has shown me ways to look at learning and giving the students more authentic ways to use their skills, rather than piecing them together.

The Functional Language Planning Expert Intensive has been a fabulous learning experience for me! The readings and application ideas are useful right away and the opportunity to engage with Kelly, Dr. Westerlund & fellow educators from across the country has been informative and rewarding.
